Had a good time with this one. It's cute, the characters are cool, I really like the DLCs too. Kinda wish online multiplayer wasn't exclusive to PC but it would probably be hard to accomplish with the Switch and its "pay for online" gimmick and endless communication errors. Music is AWESOME, by the way. Love the spooky ones the most.

I was really looking forward to playing this since I've heard lots of praise. but I can't get rid of the massive frame drop issues the game has, I've tried everything: verified file integrity, put settings to minimum, tried the game on 2 diff devices: steam deck and pc (my pc is in no way low end), enabled the custom GPU clock (on steam deck), I even manually set bInitializeShadersOnDemand to true in the games engine files. nothing helped and the game remained unplayable with frame drops that completely froze up the game for 0.5sec or even 1 whole second whenever I move the character. The strangest part is that I found barely any one else with this problem, so its not really even certain what is causing the issue or if there even is a fix.
The game is honestly really good. But right now, the steam version is jittering with no frame dips and is, as of right now, unplayable for me. As of right now, I'm playing the switch version but would like to play the steam version and give a positive rating once the Steam version is fixed.
Game is unplayable for me. Stutter every 5 seconds or so in Mafia Town (Chapter 1). Haven't got further as it's too brutal. Playing on: 7800x3d RTX 4090 NVME SSD So... it's not a matter of specs for me
My laptop has some really good specs, way above the recommended requirements in every department and it could not run this game. It stuttered every 5 seconds in the first level, even during cut scenes. I tried lowering my settings to the lowest possible, no improvements. I followed guides and steam discussions on what settings to change, no improvements. I tried playing Offline Mode, no improvements. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no improvements. I tried restarting my laptop, no improvements. I tried editing the configuration and engine settings files, no improvements. I tried changing the compatibility to Windows 8, no improvements. I don't have AMD so it can't be related to that. I am not mad honestly, just disappointed.
Over the years I've tried to enjoy the game but every single time when I play I get reminded why I have started to dislike it so much. The game's physics, camera and controls are frustrating to try and play with, no matter if you happen to have a controller or use the keyboard and mouse. The camera flickers too much even with the lowest possible camera movements or doesn't follow in time. Lots of sequence breaks or automatic sequences that messes you up and the bright all time bloom effect does not make the game Epileptic friendly.
