What the community wishes

Fix multiplayer desync issues
Players report major desync issues in multiplayer, where monsters are visible to some players but not others, causing confusion and frustration. This breaks the cooperative experience and needs urgent attention.
Improve monster variety and balance
Monsters are either too overpowered or harmless, lacking balance. More variety and interactive mechanics are needed to keep gameplay engaging and challenging.
Add public session hosting
The lack of public session hosting or a server browser makes it difficult to play with randoms. Adding these features would improve accessibility and matchmaking.
Optimize game performance
The game is poorly optimized, causing crashes and high system strain even at lower settings. Performance improvements are necessary for smoother gameplay.
Fix video recording bugs
Video recordings often fail to save, leading to lost footage and progress. This core feature needs to be more reliable to enhance the player experience.
Expand map and monster variety
Players request more maps, monsters, and lore to keep the game fresh and engaging. Adding variety would improve replayability and depth.
Improve oxygen mechanics
Oxygen runs out too quickly, making runs frustratingly short. Adjusting the oxygen timer would make gameplay less punishing and more enjoyable.
Add difficulty progression
The game lacks difficulty progression, relying on enemy spam instead of meaningful challenges. Introducing scaling difficulty would improve long-term engagement.
Fix customization system
The face customization system is overly restrictive and buggy, requiring registry edits for basic functionality. A more user-friendly system is needed.
Add PvP mode
Players suggest adding a PvP mode where streamers compete for views. This could add a new layer of gameplay and replayability.
Improve matchmaking system
Matchmaking is broken, often failing to connect players to active games. Fixing this would make the game more accessible for solo players.
Add more gameplay depth
The gameplay lacks depth, with players often just running from monsters. Adding more interactive mechanics or objectives would make it more engaging.
Fix map-breaking bugs
Players report falling through maps and other map-breaking bugs. Addressing these issues would improve stability and gameplay quality.
Add more meaningful rewards
The game lacks satisfying rewards for surviving or completing objectives. Adding more meaningful progression or rewards would enhance player motivation.
Improve enemy AI
Enemy AI is often predictable or unfair, with no way to fight back. Improving AI behavior and adding counterplay options would make encounters more dynamic.
Add more replay value
The game becomes repetitive quickly, with little variety in monsters or maps. Adding more content and replay value would keep players engaged longer.
Fix audio and music issues
The music is overly repetitive and causes headaches, and there's no way to disable it. Adding audio customization options would improve the experience.
Add more single-player content
The game lacks substantial single-player content, making it less appealing for solo players. Adding more solo-friendly features would broaden its appeal.
Improve item variety and utility
Items like flashlights are often unnecessary, and there's little variety in useful equipment. Adding more diverse and impactful items would improve gameplay.
Fix save video feature bugs
The save video feature frequently fails, causing players to lose footage. Ensuring this feature works reliably is crucial for the game's core appeal.

I will leave the cat here, so that everybody who passes by can pet it and give it a thumbs up and awards. /> フ | _ _ l /` ミ_xノ / | / ヽ ノ │ | | | / ̄| | | | | ( ̄ヽ__ヽ_)__) \二つ

Positive

"When I grow up, I wanna become a SpookTuber!" - Some guy who enjoys watching spooky content, proceeds to gather his buddies to make that bread of views and in getting profit. _____________________________________________________ The game reminds me of Lethal (given that there are four dudes) with the exception that there ain't scrap to collect but videos to make to meet the quota. What's interesting is that one travels to different locations through the use of a dive bell, moving in old standard diving suits and having only three slots of carrying equipment. The game also reminds me a bit of Phasmophobia, there be cooperation needed to navigate and survive around entities, having to get monsters on camera with tools that help. A golden take I would give is watching what you had filmed (clips shifting, screams or conversations cutting off and silly stuff occurring), getting comments from SpookTube and being able to download the videos itself (Depending if they come out best). A good game to enjoy with pals.

  • Sentiments

    • I find the concept of becoming a SpookTuber and gathering friends to create content for views and profit to be exciting and engaging.
    • The game reminds me of Lethal, which is a positive comparison, especially with the focus on teamwork and exploration.
    • I appreciate the unique twist of collecting videos instead of scrap, which adds a fresh and interesting dynamic to the gameplay.
    • The use of a dive bell and old standard diving suits for traveling to different locations feels immersive and adds to the game's atmosphere.
    • I enjoy the limited equipment slots, as it adds a layer of strategy and challenge to the gameplay.
    • The game reminds me of Phasmophobia, which is a positive comparison, especially with the cooperative elements and monster interactions.
    • I find the feature of watching filmed clips, including shifts, screams, and silly moments, to be highly entertaining and engaging.
    • I appreciate the inclusion of SpookTube comments and the ability to download videos, which adds a realistic and rewarding aspect to the gameplay.
    • The game is a good choice for enjoying with friends, which enhances the overall experience and replayability.
    • The review does not mention any significant drawbacks or negative aspects, which suggests a generally positive experience with the game.

I really liked this game to be honest! You record yourself and your friends searching through you don't know and it can make for incredibly funny game play, especially the photoage afterwards because it edits it for you. If you like Lethal Company, you'll like this game.

It is a great game to play with friends since it’s so funny and also really creepy. A well made balance tbh. *I LOVE the save video feature since I find it so funny to see what I managed to film while screaming my head off as I was chased by a big spider 😭

  • Sentiments

    • I find the game to be great for playing with friends because it is both funny and creepy, creating a well-balanced experience.
    • I love the save video feature because it allows me to capture and relive funny moments, like when I was screaming while being chased by a big spider.

    • I appreciate the well-made balance between humor and creepiness in the game.

Negative

I think this game is really fun, but I can't recommend it in it's current state. In a game that is meant to be enjoyed in multiplayer, it has major desync issues. Often, you will encounter monsters that other members of your party cannot see, although they can still draw agro and be attacked. Meaning you'll either be panickily shouting at your friends about a monster close and them say "WHERE? WHERE?!" then walk into it and die, or being getting killed by something you can't see. It adds a level of confusion and frustration that sours the experience.

  • Sentiments

    • I think this game is really fun, which makes it enjoyable to play.
    • I cannot recommend the game in its current state due to significant issues.
    • The game is meant to be enjoyed in multiplayer, which is a positive aspect.
    • There are major desync issues in multiplayer, causing frustration.
    • Monsters often appear for one player but not others, leading to confusion.
    • The desync issues cause players to panic and shout at each other, which is frustrating.
    • Players frequently die due to invisible monsters, which is highly frustrating.
    • The confusion and frustration from desync issues sour the overall experience.
Customization
The entire Custom face system is Fúcked. By design they Block out all but 1 person using it. Everyone has to stand and do nothing for the first half hour of the game. They have blacklisted any face that's worth having and It's also impossible to paste. It is necessary to edit the windows registry to get anything even remotely interesting.
Gameplay
There are only two kinds of monsters, the ones that teleport to you and kill you instantly, and ones that are basically harmless. I played with people who were so obsessed about flashlights and had to ruin their game settings by turning everything dark. You don't need flashlights at all If you adjust your brightness correctly. There's no way to disable music which is designed to give you a headache after about 52 minutes. Playing videos back doesn't work either Doesn't really matter my screen recorder works better none of built in replay games actually work. There's a sleep mechanic for some reason that does literally nothing but slow the game down. The game is full of bugs and i'm glad I didn't pay money for it. Sneed space fággots

  • Sentiments

    • I find the Custom face system to be extremely frustrating and poorly designed, as it blocks most users from using it effectively and requires editing the Windows registry for any meaningful customization.
    • I am annoyed that the game forces everyone to stand idle for the first half hour, which feels like a waste of time and disrupts the gameplay experience.
    • I am disappointed that the game has blacklisted many desirable custom faces, making it impossible to create or paste anything interesting without significant effort.
    • I find the monster design to be unbalanced, with only two types: ones that are overly lethal and others that are completely harmless, which makes combat feel unsatisfying.
    • I am frustrated by players who obsess over flashlights and ruin the game settings by making everything too dark, even though adjusting brightness correctly eliminates the need for flashlights.
    • I am irritated that the game does not allow disabling the music, which becomes unbearable and gives me a headache after about 52 minutes of play.
    • I am disappointed that the built-in replay system does not work properly, forcing me to rely on external screen recording software to capture gameplay.
    • I find the sleep mechanic to be pointless, as it only slows down the game without adding any meaningful gameplay value.
    • I am glad I did not pay money for this game, as it is full of bugs and poorly designed features that detract from the overall experience.
    • I am frustrated by the lack of polish and functionality in the game, which makes it feel unfinished and unenjoyable to play.

  • Sentiments

    • I had an incredibly fun and intense experience playing with my friends, laughing and shouting so much that we were completely exhausted.
    • I felt frustrated and disappointed when the camera feature didn't work after we tried to use it, and it failed twice.
    • I am deeply upset that almost a year has passed, and the issue with the camera still hasn't been fixed.
    • I am angry and feel that the developers should be ashamed for releasing such a flawed product.
    • I question the competence of the developers, wondering what they were thinking when they released this game.

Negative

I actually really enjoy this game and think most people would too. But the fact that there's no way to host a session publicly and no server browser means you're just rolling the dice each time you want to play with randoms. This means most the time you're staring at a loading screen in multiplayer. If you have friends to play with you will have a good time though

  • Sentiments

    • I actually really enjoy this game and think most people would too.
    • The fact that there's no way to host a session publicly is frustrating and limits the multiplayer experience.
    • The absence of a server browser makes it difficult to connect with random players.
    • Most of the time in multiplayer, I end up staring at a loading screen, which is tedious.
    • If you have friends to play with, you will have a good time, as the game is enjoyable in a group.

Negative

The game was so focused on it's own unique spin on Lethal Company that it forgot to maintain every other aspect that made and kept Lethal interesting. Not Prime Approved.

  • Sentiments

    • I found the game entertaining for about 20 hours of gameplay, but it didn't meet my expectations of surpassing Lethal Company.
    • I was initially impressed by the fast release of the first update, but disappointed that it was the only major update for a long time.
    • I feel the game lacks difficulty progression, as the objective doesn't get harder; instead, more enemies are spawned at once.
    • I think the oxygen mechanic was serviceable at launch, but now it feels like it runs out too quickly, making runs frustratingly short.
    • I appreciate that the game attempts to make monsters interesting with absurd ideas, but I find many of them unbalanced and not very interactive.
    • I believe the game relies too much on chaos to stay entertaining, which loses its appeal once the initial shock value wears off.
    • I feel the gameplay doesn't change much between quotas, making the experience repetitive and less enjoyable over time.
    • I think the game is fun initially but wears itself out quickly due to its lack of depth and reliance on asset spam.
    • I find the sessions don't last past quota 2 because the game isn't engaging enough to justify continuing.
    • I recommend the game for its price of around ten bucks, but suggest looking elsewhere for a longer-lasting or more moddable experience.
