Cuphead is a visually stunning run-and-gun action game that pays homage to 1930s cartoons with its hand-drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz soundtrack. With a focus on challenging boss battles, players take on the roles of Cuphead or Mugman in single-player or local co-op mode, battling through strange worlds to repay a debt to the devil. The game boasts a 90.64% AI Community Rating, praised for its fun gameplay, amazing music, and challenging yet rewarding difficulty. However, some players find the game hard and frustrating due to its steep learning curve and occasional randomness in boss mechanics. Despite these critiques, Cuphead is widely regarded as a masterpiece, offering a unique blend of retro aesthetics and modern gameplay. If you love action-packed challenges and nostalgic visuals, Cuphead is a must-play.

Cuphead is one tough nut to crack for sure! This game's got me duking it out with some serious challenges, but oh boy, it's one hell of a ride. The vintage cartoon vibes and those snazzy tunes, they've got this magic that keeps me grinning, even when I'm getting schooled left and right. I've danced with defeat more times than I can count, yet it's like a never-ending carnival of fun. The Cuphead charm still has me hooked even after all those times of me biting the dust. However, let me pay tribute to the hardworking developers who went through the wringer to birth this masterpiece. I can't help but salute their sheer grit and gumption. In the case of developers’ devotion as well as artistic talent, there isn’t any dearth of respect from myself toward them. So if you haven't jumped into the Cuphead fray yet, I strongly reckon you give it a go. It's a real knockout. Trust me, you're in for one hell of a time.
Good game with unique soundtracks. - Easy controls - Weapons/Charms/Ability variation - Character variation - Level variation - Map variation The game can be quite challenging at times requiring quick reaction time and precision. Get ready to go nuts and replay a level over and over again. 10/10
Warning - This Game is Truly a fountain of indie titles I have ever played. Cuphead is not for everyone. If you're looking for a relaxing and easy game, this is not it. However, if you're a fan of challenging games and appreciate beautiful animation, Cuphead is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared to die... a lot. While the visuals are certainly a highlight, Cuphead is also a mechanically sound game. The controls are tight and responsive, and the variety of weapons and special abilities keep the gameplay fresh. The game also features a great soundtrack that perfectly complements the visuals and gameplay. The first thing that strikes you about Cuphead is its stunning animation. The game is hand-drawn in a style reminiscent of old cartoons, with vibrant colors, fluid movement, and expressive characters. Every frame is a work of art, and the attention to detail is simply breathtaking. It was completely an unforgettable experience with this game! I would suggest you to check this one out .
This game will hurt your soul but when you finally beat that boss that you've been stuck at for about 2 hours, you will get a rush so good that snorting coke will feel like drinking water. 10 out of f*cking 10.
This game is garbage, if you are a normal player you have to work your ass off to pass a level, or you have to be an abnormal psychopath and memorize and play the game, in short if you want to be a neurotic autistic person this is the game for you.
I though I can just play with my family on 1 keyboard but it need a controler for it the game iz good it not bad I just dun like it because the game doesn't say I can only play with my family if I have a controler (for why this review come up so late because when I brought this game my sister iz still young and cannot play game this hard now she grow up and want to try this game with me and now I discover that the game doesn't allow you to play on one keyboard) -DON'T BUY IT IF YOU THINK LIKE ME
As someone who finished dozens of soulslikes/roguelikes/bullethells this is just sometimes plain unfair and I hate games like these (you get shot in bad way + some jumping enemy with random vector of jump + random platforms you have to jump on spawn in such a way you bound to get hit or you fall and get hit anyways). I don't mind redoing boss fights over and over but I strongly dislike high randomness to the point of not having counterplay besides hindsight "well you had to jump that way 3 seconds ago without knowing what will spawn next and if you chose wrong you're cooked". Art is phenomenal and I'll finish this game because I'm already past half point and it's not terrible or anything just not really for person like me.
Difficult, colorful and....that's about it. Pretty much that's all the pros I find. There are alot of ways to make a game challenging, yet cuphead feels lazy and purposefully difficult by giving you random out of context and out of narrative obstacles and challenges that you head into blindly and can't expect / anticipate ultimately forcing you to go through areas insane amount of times repeating the same fights in order for you to get used to the RNG mechanics which are there only to make the game purposefully difficult in the most pointless way possible. The game is mostly boss fights, which I like. However, unlike Souls Games, I didn't feel a drop of happiness and accomplishment finishing a boss fight in cuphead as I felt extremely annoyed that the effort I've put in was pointless and a waste of time. Challenges are not worth it. Game looks amazing, character design, aesthetics, theme - just great, but that alone is not enough to make me like the game...
Cuphead is very good looking game. The art style is very unique, the animation is funny and the music is great. HOWEVER, this is NOT a fair game. I tried to pass every boss in easy level…and I still could not beat the game. Some of the levels, and each level is a boos fight, require you to try 300, 400, 500 or even more times to beat the boss. The game is just too difficult, unbalanced, and upsetting. The first 4 or 5 bosses are very simple, but other bosses are freaking impossible. For example the clown, the dog before the devil's casino and many others. I don't want to spend 2 or 3 months of my life just pass a game with 15 levels.
