Devil May Cry 5 is a high-octane action game that brings back the ultimate Devil Hunter with style. Featuring three playable characters—Nero, Dante, and the mysterious V—the game offers a unique blend of stylish combat, photorealistic graphics powered by Capcom’s RE Engine, and a killer soundtrack. With an AI Community Rating of 86.89%, players praise its fun, engaging combat, amazing characters, and gripping story. However, some criticize repetitive level design, frustrating controls, and the lack of post-game content. Whether you're a fan of the series or new to the franchise, Devil May Cry 5 delivers a visually stunning and adrenaline-pumping experience, though improvements like better difficulty balance and more enemy variety could elevate it further.
This game has extremely fun combat, possibly even the best. You will feel sluggish and incapable at the start but it's easy to learn how to juggle enemies in the air and get higher higher skill rating in each fight. There is a pinch of challenge in the mixture as there are new enemy types & bosses introduced throughout. Level design in terms of navigation and exploration is good enough but nothing to write home about, but visually there are plenty of unique and interesting spectacles. My first 60-70 hours going for 100% achievements were a blast and I never felt like I hit a skill ceiling with any of the four characters, but moving on past that was honestly torture. Playing through the game on "Dante Must Die" is made unfun by a mixture of increased enemy health (felt like 2x on every enemy) and a mechanic that allows all enemies to increase their attack and defence by a huge amount on top of the health increase, which will have you in some cases hitting the same single enemy for upwards of 2 minutes without a break, which not only gets boring fast but kills your potential for putting fun combos and kills pacing. Bloody palace is a great mode for improving your skill and just for smacking enemies or bosses around, as well as providing a great challenge. The story itself is decent, but dialogue can be unbearably cringe at times. It's obvious that they don't take themselves too seriously in the writer's room and they clearly want it to be silly, but the charm is easily broken when you go too deep into the silliness. This doesn't ruin the game by any means but you will feel physical pain at some lines. It goes without saying Nero's and Vergil's battle themes are incredible - top tier hype (motivating) music.
Combat is fun and beautiful. The game incentivises you to perform elaborate combos and it is basically an action game where YOU are the boss and the enemies hear 'boss music' when facing you. Level design gets a little bit repetitive towards the end, but the fights make up for it.
Garry's Mod 5 is a fighting, hack-and-slash game where you play as a single family of Nirvana backup singers and their detachable appendages. Struggling to stop mankind's ultimate foes, Vergin and Urinate, who are peaceful environmentalists attempting to grow a tree in their yard. You play as our intrepid heroes, Dante Inferno, Nero Claudius, and the roman numeral V, as they attempt to run their small business amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Times are tough, but fortunately, Nero is forklift-certified. Along the way, you will encounter testicular torsion, skeletons, famous YouTuber Cr1tikal, the realization that you left the stove on downstairs, and Dark Souls PvP. But with enough tenacity, strength, cunning, and force of will, you will swipe your card and buy this game and tell your friends about it with remarkable accuracy. Because why would you not play Devil May Cry 5? That would be stupid. So sit lie back and clap enjoy buy game run relax and enjoy... Noise Level High 5.

I am a 55 year old biker and trucker father, and probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 15 now. My son got this game for from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 12 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So i decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he let me borrow his controller. Me and my son then played in turns and I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game has helped build my relationship with my son back to how it was before he lost his mother.
why the hell do directional inputs depend on CHARACTER DIRECTION instead of CAMERA DIRECTION?! it's impossible to combo when every time I end up on the opposide side of an enemy my entire control scheme gets inverted. this game couldve been top tier if they had just added an option to switch between those.
i really like this game and DMC in general. played dmc 5 on my old pc many yrs ago, wanted to replay it on my new pc which i have for some yrs and also a new monitor with HDR - which im never using because it is such a garbage invention, like ray tracing or mechanical keyboards for gamers. stuff ppl always had, just in another form but smart packaged by big companies and stupid ppl buy stupid stuff because they hate to think. anyway, i wanted to play dmc5 again and right on game start u get blind because HDR turns on by itself and now comes the best part - you CAN'T turn it off. even after closing the game, ur monitor keeps HDR on so u need to restart ur pc. sure, u could mod this crap with special k or a stupid trainer and usually i like to mod my games, but not for such bullshit. easy thumbs down - worst game in the series because of laziness by capcom.
The game looks good but i encountered a pretty big bug which made the game totally unplayable it's about the camera rotation, i started the prologue and everything were fine i was able to turn the camera 360 with the mouse just like you do in all games no problem there but as soon i reached the boss room the camera stopped working and it would only turn for like 60 degrees which is totally crippling especially in a fight and made the game totally unplayable, damn that's a shame and i was looking forward on playing the game. :(
The amount of bugs I've experience is unmesurable. From camera lock issues, to me needing to restart the game because the game doesn't read my inputs, and it comes down from me having my G29 inserted in my PC while playing DMC5.. Combat system is kinda raw, considering the locking system being this bad, and placing different interaction buttons on the same keys (MnK) it's not a very good idea, this game miss-inputs a lot, mostly because I click my buttons way tooo fast for this game to register. I'm not going to talk about Microtransactions in a PvE Storyline game. Overall, the game feels very repetitive and boring, from game mechanics to level design. It's really disappointing for me.. PERSONAL OPINION
couldn't get into it. very repetitive. very few colors in the game palette other than black/grey and red/crimson. could never get used to all the keyboard combinations that needed memorizing. lost interest quickly
