Titanfall® 2 is a thrilling first-person shooter that combines fast-paced action with a unique bond between Pilot and Titan. With an AI Community Rating of 88.58%, this game delivers an exhilarating single-player campaign and an intense multiplayer experience. The story follows a Militia rifleman and a veteran Titan as they navigate a mission filled with inventive twists and high-octane combat. Multiplayer fans will enjoy 6 new Titans, deadly Pilot abilities, and expanded customization options. While the community praises its fun gameplay, amazing graphics, and unique mechanics, some note the campaign is too short and lacks emotional depth. Difficulty balance and server issues are also mentioned, but the game remains a standout in the FPS genre. If you love action-packed shooters with a mix of mech combat and pilot agility, Titanfall® 2 is a must-play.
Pros: It's September 2024 and matchmaking takes 2-40 seconds. People still play the PvE (Frontier Defence). Graphics still look good. PvP difficulty is ok, there are some veterans who are impossible to kill, but there are also what looks like relatively new players too. Cons: But it also requires the garbage EA app to be installed on your PC, and even after you quit the game and the EA launcher, it will leave a "EA Background Service" in your processes, taking up a bit of your ram and doing god knows what. Edit: Lol, a day after writing this review the game stopped working for me. It just doesn't launch. Tried clean reinstall - no luck. What a disappointment. Edit 2: After 3+ hours of trying different fixes, here's what worked for me: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1237970/discussions/0/4843148117774494267/?tscn=1727416796#c4840896594187375355

This game perfects the Call of Duty formula. No other multiplayer game makes you feel as cool when you're performing well. Its movement options, gadgets, and pilot to titan combat make it a real joy to play. It's a real shame this game never saw the light of day and we never got a third installment. However, I feel optimistic that someone, someday, will revive this formula. It probably won't be Respawn, as they wouldn't want a competitor to Apex Legends, but someone surely will, as it's too good an idea to let it rot. There are already developers creating Titanfall in VR (the game is called Wavefront, if you're interested). And also there are Diesel Knights - another promising successor. Anyway, play this gem now - there's still an active and big community playing. Don't let this masterpiece pass you by.
Game #54 of My Backlog Clearing Journey
Status: Completed This is one of the most underrated single-player first-person shooters out there. It combines fascinating story elements and clever map design with the smoothest movement mechanics I’ve ever experienced in a shooter. While I personally feel the first game had better balance in its multiplayer maps and gameplay, the single-player campaign in this one was an incredibly pleasant surprise—especially since I originally bought it just for the multiplayer. It’s a shame the series has been all but abandoned.
Titanfall 2’s campaign is a rollercoaster of pure, unadulterated fun. From the get-go, you’re thrown into a thrilling ride with a fantastic story and jaw-dropping set pieces. The bond between Jack Cooper and his Titan, BT-7274, is both heartfelt and epic, delivering moments that’ll stick with you long after the credits roll. The gameplay is a perfect blend of intense mech combat and inventive level design. You’ll be wall-running, double-jumping, and blasting through a variety of jaw-dropping environments, each crafted with care and creativity. Every mission feels fresh and exciting, making this campaign a must-play for any fan of action and adventure. In short, Titanfall 2 delivers one of the best single-player experiences in recent memory. Suit up, and get ready for a campaign that’s as thrilling as it is memorable. Don’t miss it!
I love this game, and I used to play it on console all the time, but because of the current state of the game, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. To really play online you are basically required to download an outside client, and this game has been completely abandoned by the devs.
Great game, great movement and fun, but at this moment cannot recommend the game because it requires the EA app to play, and the EA app just gets stuck on trying to launch the game, rendering it unplayable. It worked when it was played through EA's Origin app, but the new EA app just doesn't wanna go for me, and I'm not gonna take the time to reinstall everything at just a chance of fixing it (probably not, since it failed right out of the gate when I installed the EA app). First time I've lost the ability to play a game I've paid for because of a (really terrible) company mishandling things. I would recommend this game if the above issue wasn't a thing, doubly so if it didn't require the ever-terrible EA third party apps.
Good game, only leave negative review cause I can't play multiplayer since my intel CPU is not supported, anything newer than a 10th gen won't let you play it and you will need to create sketchy environment variables in your pc in order for it to work. Hope it gets fixed
campaign is fine, dont bother with multiplayer unless youve played it before. Servers are not very populated and those that are still playing the multiplayer are die hard fans who have mastered the game and will stomp you without having enough breathing room to learn to play
I'm sure this game is great. The only problem is that the game will not open at all, and I don't know why. I made and EA account for this game, and yet it doesn't work. Seems good if you can access it though.
