Ultimate Custom Night is the ultimate FNAF mashup, offering a thrilling mix of action and strategy. With 50 selectable animatronic characters from seven Five Nights at Freddy's games, this free-to-play indie title lets you customize your nightmare. Set difficulty levels from 0 to 20, manage office tools like vents, doors, and air hoses, and tackle themed challenges. The game boasts voice acting, unlockable office skins, and cutscenes, adding depth to its replayability. However, the community notes some drawbacks, including repetitive jumpscares, frequent crashes, and a lack of achievements. Despite these issues, the game holds an impressive AI Community Rating of 87.93%, with players praising its fun challenges and customization options. If you're a fan of survival horror and strategic gameplay, Ultimate Custom Night is worth a try, though be prepared for some technical hiccups.

What the community wishes

Add achievements for challenges
The game lacks achievements, which could enhance player engagement. Adding achievements, especially for completing difficult challenges like 50/20 mode, would provide additional motivation and recognition for players.
Fix frequent crashes and bugs
The game suffers from frequent crashes, soft locks, and UI issues. Addressing these technical problems would significantly improve the overall stability and user experience.
Improve animatronic mechanics diversity
Many animatronics feel repetitive with similar mechanics and jumpscares. Diversifying their behaviors and interactions would make the gameplay more engaging and less predictable.
Enhance graphics and visual quality
The graphics are rated as 'bad' by some players. Improving visual quality and animations could make the game more immersive and appealing.
Add more maps and environments
The game currently has limited maps. Expanding the variety of environments would increase replayability and provide new challenges for players.
Optimize game for Linux compatibility
While the game works on Linux via Proton, better native support or optimization for Linux systems would improve performance and accessibility.
Balance difficulty in 50/20 mode
50/20 mode is extremely challenging, with some mechanics feeling unfair. Balancing the difficulty or providing more guidance could make it more accessible without losing its challenge.
Fix Dee Dee spawning issues
Dee Dee sometimes spawns characters that break the game. Addressing this issue would prevent frustrating gameplay interruptions.
Add more lore and story depth
While the story is rated as 'good,' some players feel it lacks depth. Expanding the lore and integrating it more seamlessly into gameplay could enhance the narrative experience.
Improve audio quality and variety
The audio is rated as 'not too bad,' but enhancing sound effects and music could create a more immersive and terrifying atmosphere.
Add more customization options
Players enjoy the customization but want more options. Adding more animatronics, difficulty settings, or gameplay modifiers would increase replayability.
Fix UI and camera system glitches
UI elements and camera systems sometimes vanish or malfunction. Fixing these glitches would improve the overall user experience.
Add more minigames and side content
The game could benefit from additional minigames or side content to break up the main gameplay and provide variety.
Improve tutorial and onboarding
New players may struggle with the controls and mechanics. Adding a more comprehensive tutorial or onboarding process would help ease players into the game.
Address repetitive jumpscares
Jumpscares are often repetitive and predictable. Adding more variety and unpredictability to jumpscares would keep players on edge.
Add leaderboards for challenges
Leaderboards for challenges like 50/20 mode would add a competitive element, encouraging players to improve and compare their scores.
Fix soft locks and game-ending bugs
Soft locks and game-ending bugs disrupt gameplay. Resolving these issues would ensure a smoother experience for players.
Add more unlockable content
The game has some unlockables, but more rewards for completing challenges or progressing would increase player motivation.
Improve character animations
Character animations can feel stiff or outdated. Enhancing animations would make the game more visually appealing and immersive.
Add more lore-driven gameplay elements
Integrating more lore-driven gameplay elements, such as hidden secrets or story-based challenges, would deepen the connection to the FNaF universe.

Negative

I wanna dedicate this review to my 9 year old nephew who has way too much faith in this franchise. You would think that a game that has been out for 5 or so years would work perfectly fine with no problems at it. It does not. Crash after crash, bug after bug, I could not win a single challenge because the game would either just end, soft lock, or white screen for all eternity. UI kept going away, lines kept flashing on screen, vent and camera systems kept vanishing, the guy who asks for 5 coins kept asking even though he was no where to be seen, Dee Dee kept spawning in a character that broke the game, and sometimes it would just crash within five seconds of playing, for no reason. This game that some consider to be the "true" ending to the franchise left me wanting to end myself. And for context, the only reason I kept having to play this "crash simulator" was because I had to watch over my nephew, and he REALLY REALLY wanted to play this on my computer. Maybe if the game actually worked it would have been a fun time, oh well.

  • Sentiments

    • I experienced constant crashes and bugs, making it impossible to win any challenges due to the game ending abruptly, soft locking, or displaying a white screen indefinitely.
    • The UI kept disappearing, and flashing lines appeared on the screen, which was highly frustrating and disruptive to gameplay.
    • Vent and camera systems kept vanishing, which made the game unplayable and added to the overall frustration.
    • The character asking for 5 coins kept repeating his request even though he was not visible, which was confusing and annoying.
    • Dee Dee kept spawning a character that broke the game, causing further disruptions and making the experience unbearable.
    • The game would sometimes crash within five seconds of playing, for no apparent reason, which was extremely frustrating.
    • I felt that the game, which some consider the 'true' ending to the franchise, left me wanting to end myself due to its poor performance.
    • I had to keep playing this 'crash simulator' because my nephew really wanted to play it on my computer, which added to my frustration.
    • If the game had actually worked, it might have been a fun experience, but the constant issues ruined any potential enjoyment.
    • My nephew has a lot of faith in this franchise, but the game's poor performance did not live up to his expectations.

    • I only peed a little once, which was a minor reaction to the game's scare factor.
    • My mom noticed the incident and got super mad at me, which added a negative experience unrelated to the game itself.
    • The game is not usually scary, which made it feel like a bad horror game to me.
    • The game made my mom mad at me, which negatively impacted my overall experience.
    • Overall, I found the game to be bad due to its lack of scares and the negative consequences it caused.

Negative

this game is a clusterfuck, and not in a good way. the controls are awful and you have 50 characters with different mechanics at different levels of difficulty. after the 4000 point mark it's too much to manage and really just not fun

  • Sentiments

    • I feel that the game is a complete mess and not enjoyable in any way.
    • I find the controls to be extremely frustrating and poorly designed.
    • I think having 50 characters with different mechanics is overwhelming and poorly executed.
    • I believe the varying levels of difficulty for each character make the game unnecessarily complicated.
    • I feel that managing the game becomes too overwhelming after reaching the 4000-point mark.
    • I find the game to be not fun at all due to its excessive complexity and poor design.

Negative

0/10. This game has broken so many laws, SO MUCH THEFT, That I am not even joking, It has stolen these characters, and made them "Original" Horror mascots. Here's the list: Dee Dee, Ballon Boy, JJ (Chucky.) Circus Baby. (Pennywise.) Mangle (Jojo Siwa) Chica (Rockstar Chica) Foxy (Gay Fox that every girl used to ship with in 2019.)

  • Sentiments

    • I feel extremely disappointed and frustrated with the game, as it has allegedly stolen characters and ideas, making them into 'original' horror mascots without proper credit or originality.
    • I am appalled by the blatant theft of characters like Dee Dee, Ballon Boy, and JJ, which are claimed to be original but appear to be copied from other sources.
    • I find it unacceptable that Circus Baby is compared to Pennywise, as it suggests a lack of creativity and originality in the game's design.
    • I am annoyed by the comparison of Mangle to Jojo Siwa, as it feels like a cheap and unoriginal attempt to create a character.
    • I am frustrated by the portrayal of Chica as Rockstar Chica, which seems to lack originality and depth.
    • I am irritated by the depiction of Foxy as a 'gay fox' that was overly shipped by fans in 2019, as it feels like a shallow and pandering character design.
    • I feel that the game has broken many laws and ethical boundaries by stealing and repurposing characters without proper acknowledgment.
    • I am deeply dissatisfied with the game's overall lack of originality and creativity, as it relies heavily on copying existing characters and ideas.
    • I am concerned about the game's integrity, as it seems to prioritize theft and imitation over genuine innovation.
    • I am left with a strong negative impression of the game, as it fails to deliver anything original or worthwhile.
